DHL shareholders on Tuesday authorized a proposal to discard the corporate’s legacy authorized title, Deutsche Put up, and a company restructuring of the Put up & Parcel Germany unit, which will probably be rebranded as Deutsche Put up AG.

Deutsche Put up acquired U.S. logistics firm DHL (XETRA: DHL) in 2002 after the German postal operator, beforehand generally known as Bundepost, was steadily privatized in the course of the Nineties. Two years in the past, the corporate modified its model title to DHL Group, however the company title remained Deutsche Put up.

The official title change to DHL is predicted to be finalized by Sept. 1, as soon as it’s registered with the German authorities.

The vote additionally allowed DHL to maneuver Put up & Parcel Germany from its odd place inside the holding firm to an equal footing with different divisions within the group group, alongside Specific, Freight, International Forwarding, Provide Chain, and eCommerce. The postal group will undertake the Deutsche Put up AG title.

CEO Tobias Meyer stated the motivation behind the change is for the authorized construction to resemble how administration has been working the corporate for years. DHL AG would be the new listed title.

The worldwide logistics supplier now generates solely a fifth of its revenues from conventional mail and parcel supply. Deutsche Put up faces comparable challenges as different postal operators because the elevated use of digital communications reduces mail and parcel volumes. Put up & Parcel Germany income elevated 3% 12 months over 12 months in 2025 regardless of a drop in mixed quantity primarily on account of larger costs and a rise in cross-border parcel shipments.
